I give myself permission to have fun

My second mantra of the year is I give myself permission to have fun.

I often feel like I need to only focus on things that are productive.

But what is even the definition of productive? productive for who? and for what means?

Often the things that are put in the 'productive' category are not actually productive at all.

Work meetings that are non-essential.

But most of the time, 'productive' means tasks that keep you going ( going where and what for exactly?). Like loads of laundry. Making money.

But what if having fun IS productive. After all, the ultimate aim of life is joy.

And if the process, day-to-day isnt joyful then what exactly am I living for?

So... how do I give myself permission to have fun?

Well firstly, I'm going to put fun, lifestyle things on my new years goals. Things like going to a concert, date nights etc.

Secondly, I'm going to consciously block out time to have fun in my week. Catching up with friends, dance classes etc.

Thirdly, I'm going to 'see' the fun in the mundane, the routine and the boring tasks. Like work related tasks, chores, playing with my baby.
