There is no harm in humility

There really is no harm to yourself if you practice humility.

For me, this statement seems obvious at first, because every time you experience someone else's arrogance and ego, you immediately get disgusted by their behaviour.

But our own arrogance and ego might be more difficult to recognise.

For me, my arrogance and ego can look like the following:

  • Not asking for help, because deep down I don't want to be seen as incompetent

  • Not taking a risk, because I don't want anyone to see me fail

  • Not admitting that I'm lost or directionless, because deep down I want to be seen as someone who has no direction

  • Not taking my job seriously, because I feel like I can do more, and I can do better

  • Taking my partner for granted, because I assume he'll always be there to take the fall

Honestly, the list goes on and on and on....

When you practice humility, you put your ego aside and tap into the higher self. The part of you that is connected to the universal consciousness. The part of you that gives and receives love. The part of you that receives inspiration.

Ultimately, this is the part of you that will unlock the joy and love in your life.

This part of you, is always there, just waiting for your ego to move out of the way.
